Just Thoughts 11 on 11-11-11

It’s been quite a bit of time since my last “Just Thoughts” post. I suppose I haven’t wanted to talk about random things that were on my mind and decided to just have more focused posts. That’s pretty lame!

So, let’s see what comes to my mind today:

  • How is it November already? I mean, honestly? It’s already the eleventh month of the year and that’s just insane to me!
  • And, since it’s November, that means my birthday is approaching. In fact, it’s five days away. Why am I getting older so quickly?
  • Usually around this time I already have a plan set for what I’m going to do for my birthday, but not this year. In fact, I haven’t really thought about it at all.
  • We had our first snow of the year. None of it was really sticking, and since the weekend is going to be in the 50s and 60s, it’s already gone. But I’m not ready for any real snow.
  • Thanksgiving is almost here. Turkey Day, yeah! I love turkey!
  • I’ve been listening to Kelly Clarkson’s new album a lot the past few weeks. I mean, it wouldn’t be me if I haven’t been listening to it.
  • I love that Kelly’s voice. It always brings out the emotions in me, whether it’s good or bad. It’s one of the reasons I love her so much.
  • As I’m writing this in the school’s computer lab, a person’s phone keeps ringing. It’s irritating. I mean, there are signs that say to not use your cell phone. You could at least put it on vibrate!

  • And now the person answered their phone. And another person has some music on way too loudly. I mean, seriously, people? What the heck?!
  • Good Lord, this is such a dirty keyboard. I’m going to have to wash my hands when I leave here. I get that this is a computer for all the students, but it wouldn’t kill people to wash their hands before they use stuff.

  • I didn’t even noticed how dirty it was when I sat down at this computer and started typing here. That’s what I get for not looking.
  • And I’m back home. Yeah, definitely stopped typing on that thing, haha.
  • So the battery in my MacBook is crap AND the optical drive no longer works. That’s just perfect.
  • “Everybody’s got a dark side. Do you love me? Can you love mine?” Those are the lyrics I’m currently hearing.
  • I’ve noticed on Facebook that a lot of people have been doing a daily thing that they are thankful for. It’s an interesting concept that I thought about doing, but I decided not to since, for me, finding 30 different things to be thankful is hard.
  • Okay, strike that. That sounded bad. It’s not hard because I don’t have 30 things to be thankful for. I have more, I’m sure. But it’s hard to write something one day and then the next have something else that may sound like a lesser thing. Perhaps not the best reasoning, but it’s my reasoning.
  • Basically, I’d feel like I’d have to “one up” the previous day.
  • And, besides, we should be thankful all the time.
  • I went running in the cold the other day. My lungs did not like the cold air at all! So. Much. Coughing! But, perhaps I’ll get used to it eventually.
  • You know, I actually have some thoughts in my mind that I can’t actually write about. That’s not helpful.
  • Oh oh oh! So, that whole Joe Paterno Penn State thing. I know it sucks that this man’s long career ended the way it did, but after reading the Grand Jury report…my God. Paterno and all the rest of those people who were informed and knew something needed to do way more to stop Jerry Sandusky!
  • This Sandusky guy…he was…the things that he did to those kids…it’s just so horrendous and sickening and…evil. I mean, one shouldn’t use the term evil lightly, but I can’t think of a better description. He used his position of power and the facade of helping troubled young boys to take away the innocence of those children to satisfy his gross sexual desires. That’s just evil.
  • Yeah, I know I shouldn’t judge, but, I mean…how can people do such terrible things? How can others who are in a position to do something to stop it stand by and do nothing?
  • If you want to read the report, you can find it here: http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/uploadedFiles/Press/Sandusky-Grand-Jury-Presentment.pdf
  • It’s a very disturbing report…
  • I hope all the victims are/were able to get any sort of help that they needed.
  • Gosh, I can’t end this thing with such a horrible story.
  • Here’s a picture of Sara’s cat with laser eyes!

  • Chloe’s getting revenge on the Julios for always calling her evil, and thus, proving she is evil in the process!
  • Yeah…I’m sure Sara will love that one, lol.

Things I’m Currently Sick of:

  1. Evil people and Evil deeds. Evil kitties are okay, though 😉
  2. Rihanna. She seriously needs to take like a 2 year break and stop being in seemingly every song
  3. Hearing that good people keep losing jobs.

Things I’m Not Currently Sick of:

  1. The Steve Jobs book. It’s an interesting read.
  2. People. Shockingly, I haven’t been bothered by people of late.
  3. Kelly Clarkson. Obviously.

P.S. – I realize Halloween is already over and done with, but I just saw I still had this saved so I’m putting it here. Lauren would appreciate this:
