To procrastinate or to not procrastinate? That is my question. And the answer is…wait for it…PROCRASTINATE! WHOO!!!!!
Seriously speaking, though, I’m not really procrastinating much. It’s more about killing time until I have class in one and a half hours. Today’s class: Security Fundamentals. It seems like it should be an interesting class, though possibly difficult. That part I haven’t figured out yet. I need to figure out what to do my quarter project on, though. That’s the part I’m procrastinating. I’m never good with topic choosing. I either choose something that’s way incredibly difficult and requires lots of figuring out on my part or I choose something that’s entirely too basic and with not enough to write about. Let’s hope for something in-between those extremes this time.
I’ve had two songs stuck in my head lately. The first is the new song by Katy Perry called “Teenage Dream”. It’s pretty catchy, though probably not as catchy as California Gurls was. I think I may like it more than that song, though. I continually catch myself humming it or singing it in my head (thank God it’s not out loud because that would disturb everyone around me. I’m not a good singer at all). It’s the first song in my main playlist in iTunes. “You make me feel like I’m living a teenage dream. The way you turn me on I can’t sleep. Let’s run away and don’t ever look back, don’t ever look back…” Yeah, I’m constantly singing it pretty much like I am now. Oh boy.
The other song is “The Only Exception” by Paramore. All I keep singing in my head is “But you are, the only exception” over and over and over again. It’s a bit ridiculous. I’ve been meaning to look up when Paramore comes back to Chicago so I can possible go to that concert. Liked them a lot when they were here with No Doubt last year. Plus, I’ve grown to have a crush on Hayley, the lead singer. Haha, darn redheads (real or fake)! Oh look, this song has just come on in my iPod. Fantastic. Guess it’ll be in my head for a while now.
Okay, so I walked away for about 20 minutes to go to the Van Buren train station because I heard they were setting up for Transformers 3 there. And it turns out they were. Lots of burnt out cars and whatnot. Here are some pics that I took:

Too bad I probably won’t be around when they film that. Chances are a lot of the places will be blocked off anyway. But it’s always exciting to me when they are filming a movie in Chicago, although sometimes it does get in the way like when they had Michigan Avenue blocked off. But what can you do? It does help bring money to the city and jobs for people, so it isn’t all bad. Plus I heard Michael Bay donated money to the Chicago Police Memorial (well…something like that) and bought t-shirts for his whole crew to wear last weekend in the aftermath of the poor Chicago police officer that lost his life by people trying to steal his car. It’s a nice that the man embraced the city enough while being here to donate some of his own money to the Chicago police. Here’s hoping Transformers 3 is infinitely better than Transformers 2. That was not a good movie…
And now, with a half an hour until class, I shall end this post. I’ve procrastinated enough between writing this, going outside and walking to the train station to take pictures, and then walking back to put those pictures in this post. Now I need to pick a topic for my security project. Fun fun fun!
