- My birthday is in less than a week. I cannot believe that I’m going to be 26 years old. Being closer to 30 than 20 makes me sad.
- I’m so tired. I’m tired all the time. My mind is tired. My body is tired. All I feel is tired.
- 2009 is almost over. That’s absolutely crazy. We’re about to start a whole new decade.
- You know, the government either needs to keep it as always Daylight Saving Time or keep it as Standard time. This unnecessary time changing needs to end.
- Speaking of DST, one of my pet peeves is when people say Daylight Savings Time. It’s not “Savings” with the “s” in there. Just “Saving.”
- The last time I wrote anything on this blog was almost a year ago. Maybe I need to write more.
- Oh, and I always say I need to write more but then never do it. I should make it my hobby so that I actually do accomplish it.
- I just remembered I’m supposed to email my friends a list of potential birthday presents. Oops. Really, though, not being stubborn, there just isn’t anything I can think of that I want at this moment.
- Speaking of wants, those new 27” iMacs look really incredibly sweet. I almost want to go into my savings to get a top-of-the-line Core i7 version. Then again, perhaps waiting for a Core i7 MacBook Pro would be best. Who knows? My white MacBook is doing okay at the moment.
- Oh, and I’m just realizing that you have to dial 11 digits to call anyone in the same area code in Chicago now. I know it was all over the news when it went into effect, I just didn’t pay enough attention to it. Good thing I’ve always had 1+area code for all of the phone numbers in my cell phone.
- I’m so happy I didn’t have to work today. Seriously, the place drained me this weekend. Back at it tomorrow, tho.
- Went to see Kelly Clarkson two weeks ago, and I gotta say, I’m still totally in love with her. Wish I could meet her (and probably make a fool of myself in the process).
- I’m pretty sure I haven’t been updating my twitter (or even really my facebook) much lately. I’m dropping off the face of my social networking world. Hmm…then again, am I really all that social to begin with?
- I need to make sure I always keep a pair of headphones in my school bag. I took them out during the weekend and then I forgot them today. It’s not fun riding the train or studying in a quiet room with no music or podcasts to listen to. Thankfully Jaclyn had an extra pair with her and let me use them (What a great best friend I have!)
- Oh, hey, I have an invite for my old boss’ retirement party. Wow, I can’t believe she’s actually finally doing it. Good for her! I should definitely go to that.
- I’ve been meaning to order my $30 copy of Windows 7. Vista was never as bad as people made it out to be, but Windows 7 is definitely a step up. Granted I rarely use Windows these days (seeing as how I’ve been using a Mac for the past 3 years), but it’s still useful to have.
- You know, no matter how often I start thinking that I may have found my path in life, I have yet to ever feel like that’s actually true. I’ve been feeling so incredibly lost lately. When will I be able to figure out my life?
- My nieces and nephews are growing up so fast! Those babies get cuter every single time I see them. Jorge was pretty talkative (well, for a 1 year old) and excited when I saw him briefly as I picked his older brother and sister to take them to school. Ava saw me and took off her socks and gave me one. Glad they don’t cry when they see me.
- As for the older two, I can’t believe Cassandra is six and Xavier is going to be eight. EIGHT! Feels like just yesterday that boy came into this world. Those were interesting times. And I swear they have limitless energy. It’s good to see them growing up. They keep fighting with each other, but what can you do? They are siblings and all.
- As for Jazmin, she’s a teenager. Yeah, she’s not blood related, but she’s still part of this family. I remember babysitting her once a long time ago. She was around the age of Xavier I think (wow I feel old). She was a bit quiet at first but eventually got comfortable enough to chat. And now she’s in high school and being all teenagery and it’s nuts. Everyone is growing up so quickly
- My body is still not used to the time change. I can tell when I’m at work and I’m thinking that time is flying, but it’s really a whole hour earlier than I think it is. That’s not a fun feeling.
- Things I’m currently sick of:
o Politics
o Not knowing where I should be
o Overly dramatic/stupid people
- Things I’m not sick of:
o My Family and Friends
o Kelly Clarkson
o Actually being helpful to people
o Root Beer (especially in float form)
And those, ladies and gentlemen, are my thoughts for this currently blogging session. Tune in next time when I talk about…well, I don’t know. My guess, seeing as this is my blog, is that I’ll talk about what’s on my mind. Like I did just now. What a concept, huh?
Oh, and I meant to post this yesterday but I completely forgot. Oops.
