I was just asked not too long ago why I named my blog “Unnecessary Randomness.” This friend of mine said that I’m always calling the things I say or do “random” or “unnecessary” or other such words that can be construed as negative in meaning. For a long time I would use those words in a negative way to describe myself. I allowed my self esteem to get to a low enough point where I believed everything I did and/or said was unnecessary and unimportant. I suppose I still do that from time to time. 

The reason I decided on this name for my blog was basically to turn a negative into a positive. I used to use those words in a negative way towards myself, and so now I’m making it into a bit of a joke. I use those two words constantly to describe a lot of things too, so it seemed to fit. That, and, well, I really could not come up with a better name. Perhaps one day the name of this blog will change, but for now, it is what it is. I personally like it. If you don’t, however, leave a comment and suggest a better name. Maybe I’ll end up changing it. Who knows?
